Editing & Deleting Items

Learn how to modify or remove items from your vault.

Viewing an Item​

  1. Navigate to your vault or use search
  2. Tap on any item to open its detail view
  3. Here you can see all the item's fields

Copy a Field​

Tap the copy icon next to any field to copy its value to your clipboard.

Auto-Clear Clipboard

For security, copied passwords are automatically cleared from your clipboard after 30 seconds.

Editing an Item​

  1. Open the item you want to edit
  2. Tap the Edit button (pencil icon edit)
  3. Modify any fields you need
  4. Tap Save

What You Can Edit​

  • All existing fields
  • Add new custom fields
  • Remove fields you don't need
  • Update the item type (in some cases)

Reordering Fields​

  1. In edit mode, tap and hold the drag handle (≡) next to a field
  2. Drag the field up or down
  3. Release to set the new position

Deleting an Item​

From the Item Detail Screen​

  1. Open the item
  2. Tap the Delete button (trash icon delete)
  3. Confirm the deletion

From the List View​

  1. Select one or more items
    • On mobile devices, long press on an item to enter selection mode, then tap the checkbox on the left of each
    • On desktop devices, click the checkbox on the left of each item
  2. Tap the Delete button (trash icon delete)
  3. Confirm the deletion
Deletion is Permanent

Once deleted, an item cannot be recovered. Make sure you have a backup if needed.

Undoing Changes​

While Editing​

If you made changes but haven't saved yet:

  • Tap Cancel or the back button
  • You'll be asked if you want to discard changes

After Saving​

Currently, LockYit doesn't have an undo feature after saving. Consider exporting your data regularly as a backup.

Bulk Operations​

LockYit supports bulk operations on items in the vault.

The following bulk operations are supported:

  • Delete multiple items
  • Duplicate multiple items
  • Export multiple items

To select multiple items do the following:

  1. In the items screen in the cards view, or the list view,
    • On mobile devices, long press on an item to enter selection mode, then tap the checkbox on the left of each
    • On desktop devices, click the checkbox on the left of each item
  2. Tap the required button in the action bar
  • Delete (trash icon delete)
  • Duplicate (duplicate icon file_copy)
  • Export (export icon download_2)
  1. Confirm the selected operation
