Manage your authentication, cloud synchronization, and account security.
Account Status
View your current connection and authentication status:
- Offline/Unverified: Shows if you need to verify your email or connect to the internet.
- Local Only: Your vault is stored entirely offline.
- Connected (Cloud): Your vault is synchronized with the cloud securely.
- Out of Sync: Indicates your master password changed remotely and needs updating locally.
You can manually refresh your account status, verify your email or logout from this section.
Change Password
Securely change your Master Password.
- Go to Settings → Account
- Tap Change Password
- Enter your current password
- Enter your new password and confirm it
- Your vault is re-encrypted with the new password
Do not forget your master password! There is no password reset process. If you lose it, you will lose access to your data unless you have a recovery key.
Recovery Key
Set up a recovery key as a backup access method in case you forget your master password.
- Go to Settings → Account
- Tap Recovery Key
- Tap Download Recovery Kit and secure the PDF
Always generate a new recovery key after changing your master password.
Clear Data on Device
To securely remove all local vault data without deleting your cloud account (if applicable):
- Go to Settings → Account
- Tap Clear Data on Device
- Enter your master password for confirmation
- All local data and encryption keys are removed
This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Ensure your data is synced or exported first.
Delete Account
To permanently delete your LockYit account from our servers and wipe all local data, use the Delete Account feature. This uses a two-step email verification process:
- Go to Settings → Account
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm by tapping Delete My Account - a verification code is sent to your email
- Enter the 8-digit code from your email
- Your account on our server will be deleted, and all local data will be wiped out
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Your account, all server-side data, and all local data on the device will be permanently removed. You cannot recover your account after deletion.
