Version​

Displays the current version of the LockYit app installed on your device.

  • To ensure you have the latest security patches and features, compare this version with the latest release available for your platform.

Schema Version​

Displays the internal database structure version.

  • If contacting support about synchronization or import issues, providing your schema version can help diagnose compatibility errors.

App Updates​

LockYit occasionally releases updates to add new features and improve security.

  • Store Installations: If you installed LockYit via the App Store, Google Play Store, or Microsoft Store, your device will typically handle updates automatically. You can also manually check for updates within those stores.
  • Direct Downloads: If you downloaded LockYit directly from our website (e.g., Linux AppImage, DEB, RPM), the app will periodically check for updates in the background. If a new version is available, a prompt will appear allowing you to download the latest release.

You can manually trigger an update check at any time:

  1. Tap the Check for Updates button in the About section.
  2. If an update is available, follow the on-screen prompts or the App Store redirect to install the latest version.
