Yes. Free includes all local features and stays free on unlimited devices. You never have to pay.
What is the difference between Free and Pro?
Free includes everything you need on your own devices, including Files and automatic encrypted backups to a folder you choose. Pro adds Local Sync and Local Sharing, the same features Founding Users keep free, forever.
Are backups a paid feature?
No. Automatic Backup to a folder you choose, such as a USB drive, an external disk, or a network folder, is free for everyone.
If I am a Founding User, do I need Pro?
No. Pro is Local Sync and Local Sharing, and as a Founding User you already keep both, free, forever.
Will my data still be encrypted on Free?
Yes. Free uses the same zero-knowledge, end-to-end encryption as Pro. We cannot see your data.
