Backups

The Backups section in Settings allows you to secure your vault by generating encrypted local copies of your data.

Create Backup​

Generates a snapshot of your current vault data.

  • The backup is fully encrypted and secured
  • After creation, you can choose to export the backup file to any directory on your device for safekeeping

Local Backups​

View and manage the backups currently stored by LockYit.

  • Check the creation date and file size of each backup
  • Export any backup to a folder on your device
  • Delete old or unnecessary backup files directly from this screen

Restore Backup​

Recover a previously saved vault state.

  • Select a backup from the list, or pick a backup file you exported to your device
  • Note: Restoring a backup replaces your current vault data. LockYit will restart to apply the restored data safely
