Backups

The Backups section in Settings allows you to secure your vault by generating encrypted local copies of your data.

Create Backup​

This option generates a snapshot of your current vault data.

  • The backup is fully encrypted and secured.
  • You can choose to save the generated backup file to any directory on your device for safekeeping.

Restore Backup​

Use this to recover your previously saved vault data.

  • Select the backup file from your device.
  • Note: Restoring a backup replaces your current vault data. LockYit will restart to apply the restored data safely.

Local Backups​

View and manage the backups currently stored automatically by LockYit.

  • Easily check the dates and sizes of available backups.
  • Clean up old or unnecessary backup files directly from the app.
