Using LockYit in Your Language
LockYit is designed to be accessible to as many people as possible - and that includes letting you use it in the language you are most comfortable with. Whether you speak Hindi, Tamil, French, or any of our other supported languages, the entire app interface is available in your language.
17 Languages and Counting
LockYit currently supports 17 languages. Here is the full list:
Indian Languages
- Hindi
- Marathi
- Gujarati
- Tamil
- Telugu
- Kannada
- Malayalam
- Bengali
- Punjabi
- Urdu
- Odia
- Nepali
International Languages
- English
- French
- German
- Spanish
- Italian
Every screen, setting, and menu in LockYit is fully translated in each of these languages. We plan to add more languages over time.
It Starts in Your System Language
When you first install LockYit, the app automatically picks up the language set on your device. If your phone or computer is set to Hindi, LockYit will open in Hindi. If it is set to French, you will see French right away.
You do not need to configure anything for this to work - it happens automatically. If your system language is not one of the 17 we support, LockYit will default to English.
How to Change the Language
If you want to use LockYit in a different language than your system default, you can change it at any time:
- Open Settings
- Go to Localization
- Tap Language
- Select your preferred language from the list
The app interface will update immediately. There is no need to restart or log out.
More Than Just Language
While you are in the Localization settings, you will also find options to customise your date format, time zone, and currency. These settings ensure that dates on your vault items, timestamps, and financial entries all match your regional preferences.
For the full list of localization options, see the Localization Settings documentation.
We believe that a security tool should feel natural to use - and that starts with being able to read it in your own language. If your language is not on the list yet and you would like to help us add it, reach out to us at [email protected].
